Oxford Geoheritage Virtual Conference

Nisyros Geopark made a significant contribution to the Oxford Geoheritage Virtual Conference held from June 6th to 9th, 2022, through a poster presentation led by Professor Nomikou, the scientific coordinator of Nisyros Geopark. The poster, titled “Nisyros Geopark: A volcanic landscape with unique geodiversity,” showcased the remarkable geological features and diverse landscapes of the Nisyros volcanic island. Professor Nomikou’s presentation provided insights into the rich geological heritage of Nisyros, emphasizing its significance as a geopark.
