Axion Hellas in Nisyros

The Nisyros Geopark supports and participates in the cultural activities of Axion Hellas on our island, as part of the 18th Diaplo (Sea Crossing). Together, we aim to strengthen education, culture, and innovation in the island communities of Greece.

Axion Hellas returns to Nisyros as part of the 18th Diaplo, with the goal of empowering remote communities through education, culture, and innovation.
Monday, May 12
The first day’s activities include:
“Colors of the Aegean” – an artistic workshop with artist Cacao Rocks
Time: 17:00–19:00 | Island Entrance | Ages: 6–16
“Empowering Islands with Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Time: 17:00–18:00 | Zosimopouleio Hall | Ages: 18+
“A Journey of Flavors and Tradition” with Argiro Barbarigou
Time: 19:00–20:00 | Koukouszina Tavern | All ages
Tuesday, May 13
The second day culminates with the theatrical performance:
“Grimm and Grimm” by the “Topi” Theatre Group
Time: 16:00–17:00 | Zosimopouleio Hall | Ages: 1–15

These activities are offered free of charge, aiming to foster a sense of participation and cultural exchange on the island.

Axion Hellas is an independent, non-profit organization that has been actively providing medical, cultural, and educational support to remote areas of Greece for the past several years. Its goal is to ensure equal access to services and opportunities for all citizens, regardless of their geographic location.
