The area of the Nisyros Geopark has been formed for thousands of years by both geological forces and human activities. Located in the southeastern part of the Aegean Sea, Nisyros Geopark stands out for its untouched volcanic-shaped relief that travels visitors back to its spectacular past. The natural environment includes extraordinary species of flora and fauna which make the geopark’s biodiversity unique.

Circumnavigation

A unique sea-route around the shores of Nisyros Island, starting and ending in Mandraki village. Visitors can enjoy the boat trip while exploring the coastal geosites formed by the volcano.
