Starting from the Monastery of Evaggelistria and ending at Emborios village, this route offers a great view over the Lakki hydrothermal craters and a stunning sight towards Yali and Strongyli islets.
The trail starts from the 18th century Monastery of Evaggelistria and leads to Emborios. In its start interesting geological formations show up, that compose the NW and northern slopes of the caldera. Along the path visitors will encounter relics of the cultural past of Nisyros such as habitation remnants, all while admiring a stunning view towards Yali and Strongyli islets. In addition, along this path one can expect exceptional views to Kato Lakki and the rhyodacitic dome of Boriatiko.
