A unique sea-route around the shores of Nisyros Island, starting and ending in Mandraki village. Visitors can enjoy the boat trip while exploring the coastal geosites formed by the volcano.
One of the best ways to discover Nisyros and make the most out of its spectacular past, as it is revealed by its unique geoheritage sites, is to perform a sailing go-around of the island. Starting from Mandraki with a direction towards the west, someone can admire impressive volcanic landforms such as the pillow lavas, the Karaviotis lava dome, and the lava flows located at Lefkos cove, Agia Irini, Nikia, Pachia Ammos beach. During the return to Mandraki visitors can admire the Pantelidis Thermal Baths building near Pali and the Public Thermal baths of Mandraki.
