Educational activity for the students of Nisyros Primary School at the Nisyros Geopark!

Educational activity for the students of Nisyros Primary School at the Nisyros Geopark!

Through an experiential and interactive approach, the young students learned:

• what volcanoes are and how they are formed,
• why Nisyros is a unique natural “open-air laboratory”,
• how the Geopark protects and promotes the geological and cultural heritage of the area,
• and what role we all play in preserving this unique environment.

Through knowledge, observation, and play, the children connected with nature and understood the importance of Nisyros’ volcanic landscape, as well as the Geopark’s contribution to education, protection, and the island’s sustainable development.

At the end of the day, the students received their own “Little Volcanologist” certificate, marking their experience in the most meaningful way!

We continue to invest in the younger generation, fostering a love for the environment and the value of knowledge!
