10th International Conference on UNESCO Global Geoparks

Nisyros aspiring UNESCO Global Geopark, actively engaged in the 10th International Conference on UNESCO Global Geoparks, which took place in Marrakesh, Morocco, from September 7th to 11th, 2023. The delegation from Nisyros contributed significantly to the conference through a compelling poster presentation titled “Nisyros Aspiring UNESCO Global Geopark: Actions for the Promotion of its Geo-Cultural Heritage.”

This presentation highlighted the concerted efforts and initiatives undertaken by Nisyros to preserve and promote its unique geo-cultural heritage, underscoring the island’s commitment to achieving UNESCO Global Geopark status.
