3rd UNESCO Geoparks Conference in Greece-Cyprus

Nisyros Geopark proudly took part in the 3rd UNESCO Geoparks Conference in Greece-Cyprus from June 3rd to 5th, 2022.
During this international gathering, Nisyros Geopark presented its candidacy and showcased the rich geological and cultural heritage that makes the island a deserving contender for UNESCO Global Geopark status.
The participation in the 3rd International Conference of UNESCO Global Geoparks in Greece-Cyprus was a significant step in our ongoing efforts to gain recognition and support from the global geopark community. The event allowed Νisyros Geopark to contribute to the collective knowledge of geoparks worldwide while emphasizing it’s commitment to preserving its unique features for future generations.
