Celebrating Environment and Oceans in Nisyros Geopark

On the occasion of World Environment Day and World Oceans Day, Nisyros Geopark is organizing activities that highlight the importance of protecting nature, the sea, and the island’s unique geological heritage.

On Friday, participants of the Summer School of Natural Sciences will take part in a voluntary beach clean-up at Chochlakoi Beach, actively contributing to the protection of the local environment.

On Monday, pupils of Nisyros Primary School will engage in creative educational activities, producing artworks inspired by the volcano and the island’s volcanic rocks.

Through knowledge, participation, and collaboration, we foster respect for the environment and help build a more sustainable future.
