Earth Day 2026 at Nisyros Geopark

Earth Day, celebrated every year on April 22, highlights the importance of protecting our natural environment and building a responsible relationship with our planet.

In this context, Nisyros Geopark is organizing a series of activities:

18/4 – Scientific guided visit to the Nisyros Volcano for educators, led by the Scientific Coordinator, Professor of Geology at NKUA, Dr. Evi Nomikou.
19/4 – Presentations by scientific groups.
20/4 – Educational activities.

Through these actions, the unique geological identity of Nisyros is highlighted, promoting knowledge, protection and sustainable development.
