Tree Planting in Lies

The Nisyros Cultural Association “Diavatis,” in collaboration with Nisyros Geopark, Navarino, which is donating 30 saplings, and “Athletic Trails,” is organizing the third and final tree planting event of the year.

📍 Location: Lies, Nisyros
⏰ Meeting Point: 10:00 a.m. at “OASIS”

We will be planting tamarisks, resilient Mediterranean trees that help prevent beach erosion, provide shade, and act as a natural barrier against strong winds and salt spray. Our initiative will also contribute to improving sand quality, ensuring a safer nesting ground for sea turtles.
