World Environment Day 2026

On the occasion of World Environment Day, our young friends took part in a special creative activity inspired by the unique natural environment of Nisyros.

Using volcanic materials, soil, rocks and local plants, they created their own artworks and expressed, through imagination and creativity, how they see the volcano through their own eyes.

Through play, teamwork and direct contact with nature, they learned more about their island and discovered that the environment is not only something we protect, but also something that inspires us to create.
